German Christmas Market: a Quebec City must-see!
In Germany during the Middle Ages, it was traditional that the Christmas market be held outdoors. This year, again, you will be able to explore this small village made up of wooden booths built in the traditional style. You will find a profusion of delicious products such as mulled wine, German Christmas cakes, gingerbread, grilled sausages, and other wonderful treats. Several free concerts will be offered during the two week-ends. The Market will take place on November 30th to and December 9th, 2012 in the heart of Old Quebec City, across from City Hall.
The Quebec City German Community includes people of German and Austrian origin and other germanophiles who have joined forces to breathe new life into this tradition. And you are invited!
